Ipswich Town can all but secure the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier title on Sunday, Loughborough Lightning can do likewise in Division 1 Midlands.

FA WNL fixtures for Sunday 6 April (2pm)

Southern Premier Division

Watford v Ipswich Town (Wealdstone FC)

Ipswich Town could effectively seal promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship on Sunday, when they visit fourth-placed Watford. An Ipswich win would put them six points ahead of title rivals Hashtag United, with two games then left each but Town already holding a goal-difference 28 better than their rivals for top spot.

Division 1 Midlands

Notts County v Loughborough Lightning (Eastwood CFC)
Peterborough United v Leafield Athletic (Bourne Town FC)

Loughborough Lightning might also all but mathematically tie up the Division 1 Midlands crown, as victory at mid-table Notts County would put them six points clear of second-placed Northampton Town. Both would be down to their last two matches, Lightning’s goal-difference currently 15 better than that of the Cobblers. Third plays fourth with Peterborough United home to Leafield, the Posh needing a win and for Loughborough to drop points in order to maintain their hopes, Athletic’s no longer being realistic.

Division 1 South East

AFC Sudbury v Chatham Town (AFC Sudbury, 2.15pm)
Ashford Town v London Seaward (Ashford Town [Middx] FC, 3pm)

Chatham Town travel to AFC Sudbury with the runners-up spot the best they can hope for now, although they did lift the Isthmian Women;s Cup in midweek after a 5-0 defeat of Billericay Town.

Ashford Town take on London Seaward with both teams already relegated and the former one point better off, in the bid to avoid last place.

Division 1 South West

Swindon Town v AFC Bournemouth  (The County Ground)

Swindon Town can still finish second to visitors AFC Bournemouth but in order to maintain a chance of catching Moneyfields, they must beat a Cherries side who have won all 20 games so far.

Elsewhere, Doncaster Rovers Belles take on Huddersfield Town in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.
