Tottenham vs Brighton preview
Matchday 5 in the Women’s Super League brings what should be an entertaining match between Tottenham and Brighton on Sunday.
Tottenham have made a positive start to life under Martin Ho, after finishing 11th in the Women’s Super League last season.
In just four games, they are only one point away from having half the amount of points this season as they did in the entirety of the last campaign.
After a 5-1 defeat to Manchester City, Tottenham bounced back with their third WSL win of the season last week, beating Leicester City 2-1.
The game will be the first for Lawrence Shamieh, who has returned to Spurs as their new assistant coach.
Brighton also have enjoyed a positive start to the campaign. After beginning the season with a draw against Aston Villa, and a narrow 2-1 defeat to Manchester City, they have responded with victories against Everton and West Ham.
Michelle Agyemang scored the decisive goal last time out against Everton, her first since returning to the club on loan from Arsenal.
Dario Vidosic is expecting big things from Agyemang’s partnership with Fran Kirby.

Tottenham vs Brighton team news
Molly Bartrip has returned to Tottenham training, but Martin Ho said the clash with Brighton will come too soon for the centre-back.
Luana Buhler and Ella Morris are also both still out of contention. Ho though said everyone else is fit to feature against the Seagulls.
The big news for Brighton is that Madison Haley could return to the squad.
The American international started Brighton’s first two games but has not featured in any of their last three outings.
Head coach Dario Vidosic said: “Everyone is okay, but we will see with Madi (Haley). Hopefully, she’ll be able to come with us to London but we will assess her closer to the weekend.”
Predicted lineups
Tottenham: Kop; Rybrink, Koga, Hunt, Nilden; Summanen, Spence; Naz, England, Holdt; Tandberg
Brighton: Nnadozie; Rule, Hayes, Minami, Olislagers; Symonds, Cankovic; Seike, Kirby, Kafaji; Agyemang
Tottenham vs Brighton prediction
Both teams have impressed so far this season and there is little to separate both sides in terms of quality.
Although it should be a close game, we are backing Brighton to pick up a big three points on the road.
Agyemang is off the mark for Brighton and her partnership with Fran Kirby could prove difficult to stop for Spurs on Sunday.
Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Brighton
