Scotland defeated Costa Rica 4-0 at Hampden Park, aided by a brace from 17-year-old Emma Watson in only her second appearance.

Watson volleyed Scotland ahead after only five minutes, turning in a Caroline Weir free-kick.

Claire Emslie met a Weir corner to help double the lead via a Katherine Alvarado own goal.

It was 3-0 before the break as Emslie delivered for Weir to turn past keeper Daniela Solera.
