Former Liverpool vice-captain Taylor Hinds has officially signed for Arsenal as she joins the club where she previously played as a youth prospect.
The Jamaican international joins Arsenal, seven years after she left the club to join WSL rivals Everton.
She spent seven years on Merseyside, two with Everton and the last five seasons with Liverpool.
However, Liverpool announced last week that Hinds left the club following the expiration of her contract.
The full-back is now back at Arsenal where she will play Champions League football, at the home of the current European champions.
Why has Taylor Hinds joined Arsenal?
In an interview with the club’s official website, Taylor Hinds explained her decision to join Arsenal.
Hinds insisted she wants to win trophies at Arsenal. The Gunners are better positioned than Liverpool to be challenging for trophies, after winning the Champions League and finishing second in the WSL during the 2024-25 season.
Liverpool endured a tough season, finishing seventh and sacking manager Matt Beard midway through the campaign.
She said: “I’m just buzzing to be here. Where I am right now, I want to push, I want to compete, and I want to be winning trophies.

“Obviously, the girls just won the Champions League. This club – not just the women’s team, but as a whole – you can see what direction they’re going in and that they want to push for more, and I want to push for more.”
At Arsenal she will reunite with some friendly faces including Lionesses Leah Williamson, Lotte Wubben-Moy, and Alessia Russo.
Hinds said: “You make friends in football, you go away and come back, and they’ll be your teammates again. When I was younger, Leah used to bring me into training. And obviously, I grew up with Lotte and Alessia as well, so I’m excited to be back on the team with the
Taylor Hinds grateful for Liverpool experience
Taylor Hinds leaves Liverpool after five years with the club.
She played a crucial part in the club’s return to the WSL in 2022 and made 131 appearances for the Reds.
Last week, she sent a farewell message to Liverpool fans after her exit from the club was announced.
Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, she said her experience at Liverpool has matured her as a player. She also hopes to bring leadership experience she gained at Liverpool to her new club.
She said: “It’s really matured me. I think you don’t just think of yourself, you think of others, and I think that’s what really changed me throughout the years. I was grateful for that opportunity, and hopefully, I can bring that here as well.”
