Glasgow City opened up an eight-point lead over SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League title rivals Hibernian, whom they beat 2-1 at Petershill Park.
The league was back with a bang after the summer break and Kirsty Howat hit a first-half brace to put City in control. Hibs’ Siobhan Hunter went for two quick cautions and although Jamie-Lee Napier did pull a goal back, the Glasgow side took the points and a major step towards retaining the title yet again.
