Swifts Go Third With Win At Strikers

Sion Swifts (pictured) were one up in 8 minutes through Chloe McGlade against Crusaders Strikers at Seaview.

The lead was doubled midway through the half by Amy Boyle-Carr, with American Geny Decker then marking her debut with the third goal before half time.

Zoe McGlynn then rounded off the scoring for the visitors, 10 minutes after the restart.

Newry Net Four Goals At Glens 

Glentoran Belfast United slipped to fourth in the table when losing 4-1 at home to second-placed Newry City.

Elenize Belem opened the scoring for City and although they then doubled their advantage, Rachel Rogan replied from a Neece Taggart corner.

Trudi Harbinson then lobbed Ashleigh McKinnon to make it 3-1 on 72 minutes and the visitors then soon rounded off the scoring, as Brazilian Rayza Da Souza beat two players to score from close range.

Leaders Hit Ten

Linfield held the leadership on goal-differemce after thrashing basement side Ballymena United All Stars 10-0.

However, it had only been 2-0 at the midway point, with goals by Sarah Venney and Megan Bell.

Jennifer McDade got the third 2 minutes into the second half and then Louise McFrederick made it 4-0.

Six goals followed in the last 19 minutes, as Kirsty McGuinness and Amber Dempster both struck twice, McFrederick also completed a brace, with Debbie McCarthy getting the other goal.
