Division I North’s top two both dropped their first points, as leaders Dundee United drew 3-3 with East Fife. Cove Rangers went third despite being held 2-2 at home by Buchan, as Aberdeen U-23s beat Inverness City 5-1. Dunfermline Athletic are up to fourth after a 2-1 victory at lowly Stirling University DS, Megen Reilly and Lauren Wheatley their scorers. Westdyke defeated Deveronvale 4-1 and it was looking like another loss for Dee Ladies but then came from 2-0 down for their first win, 5-2 at Raith Rovers, Lynn Duncan with a hat-trick.
Boroughmuir Thistle put six straight Division 1 South defeats behind them to pull off a remarkable 4-2 win at second-placed Rangers DS. Hibernian U-23s took the opportunity to move six points clear with a 2-0 win at Westerlands, who had started the day in third. Thistle Weir leapfrogged Celtic Academy into third with a fine 4-0 away victory where Val Mazzoni was twice on target and Cumbernauld Colts also went above the Hoops with a 3-0 win at Morton. Queens Park hit Blackburn United 6-1 to overtake them in the table and Renfrew scored all three goals in the game at Falkirk.
Division 2 North top team Montrose sunk Buckie 7-0 but Stonehaven lost second spot in a 4-2 reverse at Moray. Forfar Farmington DS are now second after edging Buchan Youth away in a nine-goal thriller, Gemma Mulholland and Katie Hassett both scoring two.
The leading pair in 2 West both enjoyed big way wins over winless hosts, as Ayr United netted fourteen times at Gleniffer Thistle (Clare Docherty with five) and Kilmarnock U-23s got half that tally at Rutherglen. Third-placed Pollok United won 4-0 at St Mirren and United Glasgow rose above Dumbarton United by beating them 5-0, while Kilwinning got three goals and three points at Stranraer.
Airdrie held the 2 Central leadership when netting nine at Cumbernauld Colts Yellows, Glasgow City DS made it six straight wins when crushing Central Girls Academy 14-0 and Glasgow Girls DS’s 5-0 win at Hawick United lifted them into third. Hamilton Academical U-23s are level on points with Murieston United whom they defeated 4-0. Broxburn Athletic got off the mark in style with an 11-1 scoreline at East Kilbride, Louise Davidson leading the way with a five-goal haul and Claire Curran adding a treble. Stenhousemuir were 7-0 winners over West Park United.
The top of the table clash in 2 East saw Kelty Hearts unseat leaders Spartans DS 4-2 away, as the hosts dropped points for the first time. All the other top seven sides posted victories; Edinburgh Caledonia beating Bonnyrigg Rose 7-0, Dundee City netting a 9-2 win against Jeanfield Swifts DS, Hearts DS putting four past Lothian, Dryburgh Athletic 5-1 winners at GOC Academy and Hutchison Vale DS sending East Fife Violets to a 4-2 defeat.
