Northern Ireland drew 1-1 with Republic of Ireland on Day 2 of the SuperCupNI Girls’ U-16 Tournament in Newtownabbey.

The hosts had begun with a 2-0 win over USA side Northeast Rush on Monday but had to settle for a draw against their neighbours, for whom Heidi Mackin was on target.

Northern Ireland will play their third and last group game against Surf Select (USA/Canada) on Wednesday 27 July, with a 1.30pm kick off at Mossley Park.

The top two teams in the tables will play for the Fibrus SCNI Cup, with the next two competing for the Fibrus SCNI Globe and the bottom two competing for the Fibrus SCNI Vase.
