Stoke City Ladies 8-1 Staffs Cup win saw Hannah Keryakoplis net seven

Stoke City ran out 8-1 winners over underdogs Sporting Khalsa in the Staffordshire FA Women’s Cup final at Stafford Town FC, where Hannah Keryakoplis amazing scored seven times.

The damage was done in the first half, with the Potters building a 6-1 advantage by the midway point of the match and five of those goals came from Keryakoplis.

The Welsh international opened the scoring on 22 minutes and although Nat Morris swiftly replied with a shot from outside the box, City scored three times in a five-minute spell as Keryakoplis completed her hat-trick and Amy Hughes netted inbetween.

Keryakoplis scored twice more before the break, one from outside the area and the other via a cross by Hughes.

A minute after the restart and it was six for Keryakoplis with a drilled effort from 20 yards.

The scoring was completed inside the hour mark, with Beth Roberts setting up Keryakoplis for a seventh goal of the night.

Stoke have now won all the last eleven Staffordshire FA Women’s Cup finals and the latest was played in front of a record crowd.
