Renfrew might be contesting the SWFL Division 1 Cup final this Friday but they bowed out of the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup in the 1st Round with a 5-4 loss at Montrose.

Montrose trailed Renfrew 3-2 at the break but Charlotte Gammie and Aimee Ridgeway both completed braces to see their side progress.

BSC Glasgow pulled off a 2-1 win at Ayr United, Borders enjoyed a 5-0 derby victory against Mid Annandale.

Bishopton’s Jenny McMahon hit four goals in the 9-2 result against Granite City but Dunfermline Athletic were top scorers with 13 goals past Stewarton United

Airdrie’s Megan Murray scored three times in the 5-2 victory over Murieston United.

Meanwhile in SWFL 1 South, Glasgow City Development made it eight wins on the spin with a 3-0 score at home to Hamilton Academical U-23s.

The Highlands & Islands League was also in action, Caithness moving second with an 8-0 defeat of Kirkwall City, Inverness Caledonian Thistle netting five at Bror rangers to climb to third and Buckie Ladies getting off the mark in a goalfest at Nairn by seven goals to five.
