Sporting Khalsa have promoted Juan Dopazo Lodeiro from his position as Development Manager to take charge of the First Team in the FA Women’s Premier League.

Chairwoman Kelly Williams told sportingkhalsa.com: “Juan is a very good coach with an excellent understanding of the game and last season demonstrated strong management and leadership qualities. The players bought in very quickly and it was clear that the girls were developing, enjoying their football and wanted to do their very best for him.
“His hard work, dedication and development as a coach and manager did not go unnoticed and along with his experience, drive and desire to win football matches it was impossible to overlook him for the role.”
Juan said: “I am very happy for the opportunity to step up as First Team Manager and relishing the challenge ahead. This will be my third season, so I know a lot about the club, staff, players and the strengths we possess to challenge this campaign.
“I am very much looking forward to starting the season this Sunday [away to Radcliffe Olympic] and continuing to develop and improve the great group of players who are part of this club.”
