DIVISION 1 MIDLANDS
Boldmere St Michaels 0-3 Sporting Khalsa
Sutton Coldfield Town 2-2 Leafield Athletic
DIVISION 1 NORTH
Barnsley WFC 1-1 Stockport County
Sporting Khalsa pulled off a 3-0 win at second-placed Boldmere to go third in Division 1 Midlands, with games still in hand on the top two. The visitors made the breakthrough on the hour mark, before going on to secure the victory with two more goals. They now trail the leading pair by five points but have played two fewer games than the Mikes and one less than leaders Loughborough Lightning.
Basement side Leafield Athletic are two points from getting out of the relegation zone, after twice equalising at mid-table Sutton Coldfield Town. All the goals game in the second half, Chloe Finn forcing an own-goal and Alisha Miller soon replying, Stephanie Kingston restored Sutton’s advantage before the hour mark but in stoppage-time Seanna McCann-Lloyd levelled.
Barnsley WFC missed the chance to take back the Division 1 North leadership from Middlesbrough, when held at home by Stockport County who consequently rise to fifth spot. Both goals arrived in the first dozen minutes, County opening the scoring through Emma Lysons after Lily Weston’s cross was initially cleared by keeper Serena Clarke, Emily Pierrepont’s run and pull back leading to Rosie Axten’s first goal for Barnsley.
