Southampton FC Women have signed former Leicester City goalkeeper Sophie Harris ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The 27-year-old who has played for Brighton & Hove Albion in the WSL, also featured in Champions League squads for Arsenal.
She represented England at U-20 level, spent four years with London Bees and also had spells at both Watford and Lewes.
Saints manager Marieanne Spacey-Cale told southamptonfc.com: “Sophie was the ideal person to come in for us. She’s a really high quality goalkeeper who’s played at the highest level in the Women’s Super League.
“Kayla [Rendell] is a fantastic goalkeeper and Sophie is coming in to challenge her but they’re already bonding and the level of the goalkeeping sessions has shot up; she’s bringing in that quality and competition element which can only help that goalkeepers union thrive.”
