Durham Cestria ran out 6-1 winners over South Shields in the Durham County FA Women’s Cup Final at Harton & Westoe CW FC.
Ellen Turnbull scored early on for Durham against their lower league opponents, heading home from the rebound of her own shot against the post.
Erin Nelson crossed for Amy Richardson to double the lead and Jordan Atkinson profited from a poor clearance to make it 3-0 to the FA WNL side.
Hannah Greenwood curled home a free kick and it was five before the break, as Grace Mackie beat several defenders in setting up Nelson to score.
North East League side South Shields did pull a goal back late in the half, while the second period brought just a single goal, Sophie Hodgson sending Greenwood through to net her second of the day.
