The USA made it back-to-back SheBelieves Cup titles with a 6-0 defeat of Argentina, Brazil finished second after beating Canada 2-0.

The Americans only needed to avoid an unlikely defeat against Argentina in order to top the table, four first-half goals made completely sure of their success.

The hosts were ahead on 16 minutes when Rose Lavelle chipped the ball over the defence for Megan Rapinoe to net, the same payer doubled the lead when set up by Carli Lloyd.

Winning her 299th cap, Lloyd then made it 3-0 with the assistance of  Sam Mewis, who was next on the scoresheet after combining well with Casey Krueger.

There was no further addition to the score until the last six minutes, when Alex Morgan took a chance provided by Sophia Smith and Christen Press scored via Lindsey Horan’s header from a corner.

Brazil won the battle for second place, scoring twice in the first half to see off Canada.

Adriana’s 15th-minute shot through the legs of goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé came back off the post, with Debinha on hand to force in the rebound.

Six minutes before the break it was 2-0, Gabby Carle failed to clear the ball and Julia rifled a shot across the keeper into the far corner.

Adriana saw her 25-yard shot turned onto the bar by Labbé, while Canada’s best chance came late on when Shelina Zadorsky hit the post and forced a clearance off the line with the follow-up, despite being sat on the ground.
