Scotland Women got off the mark in their second game at the Pinatar Cup in Spain with a 2-1 win over the Philippines.

Lauren Davidson gave Pedro Martinez Losa’s side a 40th minute lead, cutting inside to fire home her first goal for Scotland.

Philippines might have levelled minutes later but for a loose touch in the box, then soon after the restart Scotland’s Christy Grimshaw pulled a shot against the outside of the far post.

The advantage was doubled in the 57th minute, Caroline Weir’s corner bundled in by Rachel Corsie.

Philippines got a goal back on the 90th minute, Meryll Serrano with the free-kick near the edge of the box.

Scotland finish up against Wales on Tuesday at 2.05pm, with the match live on BBC Alba.
