The top four in the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League all recorded midweek wins, as Rangers retained a two-point lead.

Aberdeen 0-5 Glasgow City
Hamilton Academical 0-1 Hibernian
Hearts 0-3 Celtic
Rangers 5-0 Motherwell
Spartans 0-0 Partick Thistle

Rangers put five goals past Motherwell, Brianna Westrup’s opener midway through the half added to by Rachel McLauchlan and Zoe Ness before the break. Kayla McCoy and Lizzie Arnot found the net for the hosts in the second half.

Glasgow City stayed second ahead of Celtic on goal-difference, with five first-half goals away to Aberdeen. Aoife Colvill was first on the scoresheet before her free-kick was headed home by Niamh Farrelly. Vital Kats bagged a brace – the second with a set-piece – Agata Filipa’s cross flying straight in in-between.

Celtic effectively tied up the points within half-an-hour at Hearts, where Charlie Wellings, Kathleen McGovern and Jacynta Galabadaarachchi got a goal apiece.

Amy Gallacher turned in an Amy Muir cross that gave Hibernian victory at Hamilton, while Partick Thistle climbed two places to fifth after a goalless draw at Spartans.
