#SBSSWPL: Late goals seal the points in three games

Hamilton Academical, Queen’s Park and St Johnstone all struck late on to seal wins in SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League 2.

Aberdeen lead the table having netted nine times at Boroughmuir Thistle, a fixture that had ended 0-0 last March. Bayley Hutchison completed her hat-trick late on, Eilidh Shore bagged a brace.

Hamilton won by the only goal of the game at Kilmarnock, Georgie McTear with an 88th-minute strike.

Dundee United got off the mark when holding hosts Partick Thistle to a 1-1 draw. Jade McLaren got their equaliser 20 minutes from time, to cancel out Docherty’s early effort.

First points also for Queen’s Park who defeated Glasgow Women 2-0, Louise Boyes sealing the victory in the 90th minute, after Mhairi Crooks had opened the scoring.

St Johnstone got their campaign underway with a 2-1 result at Stirling University, where Rebecca McGowan won it with a stoppage-time strike.

Meanwhile in the Championship North, Montrose defeated Dunfermline Athletic 6-3, Dryburgh Athletic got al four goals at Stonehaven, Buchan won 3-1 at Westdyke and Dundee West sent Grampian to a 3-0 loss.
