Glasgow City stretched their lead in the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League Division 1, as Celtic recorded an eyebrow-raising 3-0 win over Hibernian to go second in the table.

Glasgow City’s five-goal win at Spartans moved them as many points clear at the top of the league. Clare Shine and Kirsty Howat bagged braces in the last half-hour, Hayley Lauder having scored early on.
Celtic sunk Hibernian to climb above them into second on goal-difference. A Sarah Ewens’ goal saw them lead at half-time, Chloe Craig and Natalie Ross then striking in a six-minute spell midway through the second period.
Rangers moved into the top half with a 4-1 victory over Stirling University. Carla Boyce’s 2nd-minute effort was cancelled out by Naomi Welch but Chantelle Brown, Jade Gallon and Shivohn Honeyman all scored in the second half.
Motherwell moved up to fifth with both goals in the game with Forfar, Katie Rice and Chelsea McEachran on target.
In SWPL 2, Hearts ran in eleven goals at struggling Hutchison Vale with doubles from Ashley Carse, Rachel Walkingshaw and Aisha Muaghan, staying goal-difference ahead of Glasgow Girls, 3-1 winners over St Johnstone with the help of a Chloe Docherty brace.
Hamilton took the points 2-0 over Partick with efforts from Amy Anderson and Katie McIntosh, a similar scoreline also for Dundee against Kilmarnock.
