Aberdeen are just one win away from the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League 2 after Thursday’s 2-0 defeat of Partick Thistle.

Ten-player Dons beat Jags
Aberdeen will win SWPL 2 if they take maximum points away to Dundee United this Sunday, having defeated Partick Thistle 2-0 in midweek.
They overcame the first-half dismissal of Kelly Forrest for a professional foul on Clare Docherty to secure three precious points in their promotion bid.
Bayley Hutchison levelled five minutes after the interval and got her second goal midway through the half.
Hamilton hit second
Hamilton Academical defeated Dundee United 5-1, with the help of a Josephine Giard double, to leapfrog them into second place.
Amy Anderson and Rachel Ross were also on target for the Accies, Dundee United conceding an own-goal but pulling one back through Neve Guthrie.
The win saw Hamilton move within two points of leaders Aberdeen, before the Dons played on Thursday.
Saints edge seven-goal thriller
Morgan Steedman hit a first-half hat-trick but St Johnstone had to hold off a Boroughmuir Thistle fightback to win 4-3.
Ellie Cowie got the Saints’ crucial fourth goal, the visitors scoring twice to make for a tense finish after levelling in the first half.
Killie go sixth
Kilmarnock came from behind for a 4-1 win at Glasgow Women, which lifted them above their hosts in the table.
Cara Henderson’s opener brought a five-minute brace from Laura Neil in reply, Lauryn Reside and Lisa Swanson then further extending the lead in the second half.
Basement battle drawn
Queen’s Park were held 1-1 at home by bottom of the table Stirling University but moved level on points with Boroughmuir Thistle.
Mhairi Fyfe gave the Spiders the lead midway through the first half, Anna Dickov equalising after the hour mark.
