Southampton FC host a Women’s team who currently play in Tier 5 (South Region Women’s Football League) and are led by Head of Girls and Women’s Football, Marieanne Spacey-Cale.
In addition, the club has girls squads at Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16 age groups through being awarded a Tier 1 licence by The FA to host a Regional Talent Club.
A Regional Talent Club is an enhanced coaching centre for U10, U12, U14 and U16 age groups, and allows players identified as having elite potential the opportunity to access appropriate levels of coaching and support, and is part of England’s Elite Talent Pathway.
It is a quality-assured programme providing player development opportunities for elite female players.
