Regional Leagues: Newbury, Redditch United and Tranmere Rovers go top

Although many Regional Premier sides were involved in the Women’s FA Cup, Newbury, Redditch United and Tranmere Rovers all became new league leaders.

EASTERN – Cambridge City Devs go top

ONE NORTH – Cambridge City Development leapfrogged East Bergholt United when defeating them 4-0 in a top of the table clash, Rachel Pearce claiming three assists.

ONE SOUTH – Stevenage Development made it three wins from three with a 5-1 result at Wodson Park, Hutton hit Lawford 9-1 as Vicky Kinsman netted four times and Leigh Ramblers got off the mark with a 7-2 score over Hoddesdon Town Owls.

EAST MIDLANDS – Three in a row for Notts Co

1 NORTH – Worksop Town’s Leah Hardy scored four as they kicked off their campaign by hitting hosts Cleethorpes Town for six.

1 SOUTH – Notts County Seniors have begun the campaign with three straight wins, the latest 4-0 at Loughborough Foxes Vixens where Jessica Munn scored in the first minute and the last. Ilkeston Town netted a 9-1 victory against Corby Town and Beaumont Park beat hosts Derby County Community 2-1.

PREMIER – Whyteleafe claimed a first win 2-1 at Denham United where Jessica Lewry bagged a brace.

GREATER LONDON PREMIER – New London Lionesses went top when sending Hackney to a 3-0 loss, Amelia Tearle and Mitchell Nyakatsapa both coming off the bench to score. Godalming Town surrendered the leadership 6-2 at Leyton Orient Development, who were celebrating their first win.

SOUTH EAST COUNTIES PREMIER – Lewes Foundation leapfrogged Parkwood Rangers into second as they edged them 1-0 with a Megan Cranford goal. Hassocks just got the better of basement side Crawley Wasps DS 3-2 for their opening win.

NORTH EAST LEAGUE – Ten-player Prudhoe clear three-goal deficit

PREMIER – Wallsend BC went three points clear after a 4-0 result over York City in which Ellen Turnbull scored twice.

1 NORTH – Sacha Millward netted five goals and four of those in the first 24 minutes as new leaders Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves ran out 9-0 winners at Chester le Street Town Development. Boro Rangers are second following a 3-2 scoreline against Consett in which Abbie Phillips netted a crucial double. Prudhoe Town retrieved a three-goal deficit at Lumley to draw 3-3 despite having Toni Robinson sent off, Samantha Garcia (2) and Lauren Driver with their goals.

1 SOUTH – Sheffield Wednesday took over at the top with a 3-2 success at York Railway Institute. Altofts sank Harrogate Railway 7-1 with the help of a Nicola Smith 25-minute treble, Wakefield Trinity won by a similar score at Bradford Park Avenue where Emily Heckler notched a hat-trick.

NORTH WEST – High fives for Rovers

PREMIER – Tranmere Rovers are top of the league following their 5-0 win at Wigan Athletic, with Olivia Hulmston, Lucia Molinari and Georgia Walters among the goals.

1 NORTH – Penrith have maximum points from four games after scoring all three goals in the game against Workington Reds. Preston North End’s 4-2 victory at Leigh RMI lifted them into second spot, while Accrington Sports came through 2-1 at Blackpool to climb above the Seasiders.

1 SOUTH – Warrington Wolverines stayed top with a 6-1 score at Burscough Dynamo, Chester defeated Salford City Lionesses to replace them in second position, West Kirby took the points 6-1 at Liverpool Feds Reserves.

SOUTHERN – Newbury forwards on form

PREMIER – Newbury became new leaders by beating Ascot United with two goals apiece from Rachel Allwright and Tracey Beales. Three goals up they let their opponents back into it at 3-2 but then closed the game off with a fourth goal. Woodley United recorded their first points with a 3-0 defeat of previously unbeaten Oxford City.

ONE – AFC Bournemouth Development’s Lanessa White struck four times in the opening 33 minutes on the way to a five-goal haul and 7-0 win at Alton which put them top. Eastleigh rose to second with a 4-0 beating of Bournemouth Sports

SOUTH WEST – Feniton and Frampton in first

PREMIER – Callington Town have a six-point lead after a 5-0 win over Keynsham Town Development in which substitute Gabi Alphous scored twice.

1 EASTERN – Frome Town are in first place following their 3-1 win at Laverstock & Ford, Pen Mill began with a 2-2 tie at home to Forest Green Rovers for whom it was also a first point.

1 NORTHERN – Frampton Rangers’ 4-1 win over Weston Super Mare put them top, Leonie Gough got both goals as Cheltenham Town Development beat AEK Boco, while elsewhere it ended Chipping Sodbury Town 3-2 Weston Mendip and Downend Flyers 0-3 Oldland Abbotonians.

1 WESTERN – Feniton took first place from Alphington by beating them 3-0, St Agnes moved second with a 3-1 result over Plymouth Argyle Reserves, Plympton’s Samantha Metters got three in the 9-1 scoreline away at Bude Town.

WEST MIDLANDS – Rampant Redditch

PREMIER – Redditch United ran out 10-0 winners at Worcester City to lead the league, Kidsgrove Athletic’s Natasha Lawrence netted an 89-minute goal for a 2-1 victory at Coundon Court and Lye Town were 6-2 winners against Knowle.

1 NORTH – Sandwell moved three points clear with a 4-1 win at Wyrley, AFC Telford United hit Kewford Eagles for six as Jaime Duggan and Danniella Garrett shared the spoils.

1 SOUTH – Stourbridge stayed top with a 4-1 result against Kidderminster Harriers, Leamington Lions sent Sedgley & Gornal United home beaten 6-2 to go second and Kingfisher edged a seven-goal thriller at Rugby Town.
