Leek Town and South Shields were new divisional leaders after results on 28th January, which included one South West team’s first game in ten weeks and a 20-0 victory for Bedworth United.
EASTERN – Billericay win top of table clash
PREMIER – Billericay Town moved four points clear after beating Cambridge City 2-0 in the top of the table clash. Stacey Fullicks had the visitors ahead at the break but a Paris Smith brace turned the game in the leaders favour. Bedford leapfrogged Brentwood Town into fifth on goal-difference when defeating them 3-0. Colney Heath went down 2-1 at home to AFC Sudbury.
1 NORTH – Wymondham Town thrashed top of the table Kings Lynn Town 9-0, including a Laura Nicholls hat-trick, to go within five points of them with three games still in hand. Cambridge United Reserves are up to fourth after a 3-2 result over Ipswich Wanderers who slip to third.
1 SOUTH – Harlow Town hit hosts Bishops Stortford for six, Abbey Dell with a brace while home substitute Faye Callaway received two cautions. Hutton put five past Hertford Town, with as many different scorers.
EAST MIDLANDS – Calverton undermine leaders
PREMIER – Mansfield Town’s 6-2 win at Arnold Town took them up to fifth, Emma Day netting twice for the Stags. Loughborough Students rose above Rise Park and out of the bottom two by beating them 4-2. Ollerton Town got all the goals in the second half to post a 4-0 scoreline over Mansfield Hosiery Mills.
1 NORTH – Calverton MW are third thanks to their 2-1 defeat of table-topping Hykeham Town. Market Warsop did well to edge Sleaford Town 4-3, with Gemma Hodgkinson contributing a crucial double. Natasha Leach got four of Arnold Town DS’s five goals past Teversal that put them up to places to seventh.
LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Wasps way ahead
PREMIER – Crawley Wasps are eight points ahead of the rest having won 3-0 at Parkwood Rangers. London Kent Football United won 3-1 at Watford DS and Fulham shared four goals with Carshalton Athletic.
GREATER LONDON PREMIER – The title race is all but a two horse race, as the leading pair went even further clear. QPR DS held first spot with a 7-1 thrashing of Hemel Hempstead Town with two each for Melanie Hall, Natasha Hammond and Chloe Sampson, while six Whyteleafe players got one each at AFC Wimbledon DS. Spurs DS are third by virtue of goals scored, Shannon Drewe with a double to defeat Colne Valley 3-1 and edge them in front of Hackney.
SOUTH EAST COUNTIES PREMIER – Meridian replaced Eastbourne Ladies in third on goal-difference after a 3-1 result against the Sussex side.
NORTH EAST – South Shields hit Northern summit
PREMIER – Wallsend BC jumped three placed to second when edging a nine-goal thriller with Castleford White Rose, Sam Deverdics featuring with four of their goals.
1 NORTHERN – South Shields replaced Consett at the top after their 5-0 win at York RI and Boro Rangers are justa point short of the former leaders after a 2-1 defeat of Cramlington United, Eva Allen coming off the bench to net the decider. Guisborough gained their first points and had to do it the hard way, coming from two down to beat Prudhoe Town with the clincher from Sophie Campbell.
1 SOUTHERN – Ossett Albion are up to third place after their 3-0 result at home to Malet Lambert.
NORTH WEST – Warrington knockout Premier opposition
PREMIER – MSB Woolton’s 3-0 win at struggling CMB put them seventh in the table.
ARGYLE SPORTS LEAGUE CUP 2ND ROUND – Fleetwood Town Wrens got the only goal in their local derby with Blackpool to make the quarter-finals. Stockport County eliminated Tranmere Rovers 2-1 in the clash of the league’s top two teams, Sophie John and Chloe Mapp their scorers.
PLATE 1ST ROUND – Division 1 South Warrington Wolverines knocked Accrington Sports out with a Rachel Unsworth double. Bolton Wanderers U-21 Reserves came through 5-4 at Leigh RMI. Crewe Alexandra DS accounted for hosts Morecambe Reserves 5-0 mainly through a Maisy Millerchip hat-trick. Penrith battled back to progress 4-2 at City of Liverpool, where Georgia Campbell was on target twice.
SOUTHERN – Chesham make it ten wins on the spin
PREMIER – Chesham United’s 6-0 result over Milton Keynes City was their tenth win in a row and out them eleven points clear, Katie Bowers scoring three times. Winchester City Flyers climbed two places to within a point of Newbury, whom they beat 2-0 away courtesy of a second-half Kayleigh Moss brace.
1 NORTHERN – Woodley United are a point behind leaders Barton Rovers with a game in hand, having seen off Oxford City Nomads 2-0, their goals coming in a three-minute spell from Rosie Page-Smith and Molloe Haines.
1 SOUTHERN – Alton hit Southampton WFC Reserves for six to join their visitors on a dozen points, Rebecca Bell and Sharna Capel-Watson both getting doubles.
JUBILEE CUP – Jodie Penny and Annie Ackroyd netted in the last 15 minutes as Wargrave got off the mark with a 3-1 win over Winchester City Flyers Reserves, who had levelled on the hour mark. Wycombe Wanderers went down 2-1 at home to Wokingham & Emmbrook, who also banked their first group points.
SOUTH WEST – Marine end ten matchless weeks
PREMIER – Marine Academy Plymouth moved up two places to third by thumping basement side AEK Boco 8-0. It was the Devon side’s first competitive match for 70 days and Samantha Drewery helped to make up for lost time with a four-goal haul.
1 EASTERN – Natalia Wilson contributed a couple to Swindon Spitfires 6-2 scoreline at FC Chippenham.
1 WESTERN – Newquay Celtic claimed their first points in a 5-2 bottom of the table battle against Activate.
WEST MIDLANDS – Leek takeover leadership
PREMIER – Bedworth United took the opportunity to open up a seven-point lead over Leafield Athletic at the top and were merciless in their 20-0 lashing of lowly Leamington Lions, Sarah Rowles top-scoring with six.
1 NORTH – Leek Town’s 7-1 beating of Bilbrook saw them take Goldenhill Wanderers’ spot st the top, Rehanne Mellor led the way with a hat-trick. Sutton Coldfield Town went second with both the game’s goals against Wyrley. Shrewsbury Town ran out 5-0 winners at Brereton Town, Charlotte Budd with a brace before the break.
1 SOUTH – The leading pair went head to head and it resulted in Redditch United going three points ahead of hosts Gornal, whom they beat 3-2 with an 80th-minute penalty. Stourbridge sunk Droitwich Spa 6-0 with a three-goal debut for Amy Botfish, while elsewhere Solihull Sporting drew 1-1 with Rugby Town.
LEAGUE CUP QUARTER-FINALS – Kingshurst Sporting Club reached the semi-finals with a 2-1 victory over fellow mid-table Premier side Lye Town.
