Reading Women sign Norway international striker

Reading FC Women have signed Norway international striker Lisa-Marie Karlseng Utland from Swedish side Rosengård.

Utland has been in the Norwegian squad for the last two editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, scoring in this summer’s tournament against Nigeria – one of 15 goals she has for her country. .

Joining Rosengård in 2018, she scored 15 goals in one season in the top flight of Swedish football.

Utland follows compatriots Kristine Leine and Amalie Eikeland in signing for the Royals this summer. Utland previously played alongside Leine at Norwegan club Røa IL in 2017, where she scored an impressive 17 goals in 20 appearances.

“Lisa-Marie will be a great addition to my squad,” manager Kelly Chambers told readingfc.co.uk. “She is a fast and extremely powerful player who brings something very different to the side. Lisa-Marie will fit in very well with the rest of the team and I’m really excited to work with her.”
