Watched by 3,747 at Tynecastle, Lizzie Arnot’s shot from range in the 18th minute sailed into the top corner.
Hibs’ Krystyna Freda saw her effort from range held by Jenna Fife, while Tessel Middag’s free-kick for Rangers was pushed clear by Benni Håland.
Moments after hitting the bar, substitute Kirsty Howat doubled the lead with around quarter of an hour to go, striking a low drive into the bottom corner.
