Portsmouth FC Women have signed former Reading goalkeeper Eve Annets on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

The 18-year-old is an England U-19 international who joined Man City from the Royals in a four-year deal over the summer.

Blues boss Jay Sadler told portsmouthfc.co.uk: “We’re delighted to welcome Eve to Pompey. She’s a player we’ve been monitoring for a while now.

“Her physical presence is evident and the consistency of her actions, at such a young age, stood out the most.

“Eve will add much-needed competition in the goalkeeping department, and we’re excited to support her development throughout the season.”
