Portsmouth have signed defender Hannah Coan from Blackburn Rovers, where she was Young Player of the Year last season.

The 23-year-old centre-back, who began her career at Everton, signed a contract that runs through to summer 2026.

Boss Jay Sadler told portsmouthfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted to bring Hannah down to Portsmouth. She’s an imposing figure and had an excellent season helping Blackburn to their highest league finish.

“We have been very keen to add competition defensively and Hannah fits the profile we have been looking for. She is naturally left-footed, which provides further balance to our backline.

“She has a wealth of experience at this level, having played consistently over the past three seasons, making her a great addition to the group.”
