FAWNL South Division side Portsmouth have signed Millie Carter and Ellie Russell from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Carter, 18, ended last season as top scorer of the Seagulls’ Development side and joins Pompey in search of first team football.
Russell, 20, has risen through Brighton’s youth ranks over her five-year stint at the club, with the centre-back having joined them as a teenager and gone on to make a single first team appearance.
Blues boss Jay Sadler told portsmouthfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted to have acquired both players. They possess great technical qualities and physical attributes, and I feel their determination and ambition to succeed will complement the current group.
“Millie is an extremely exciting and tenacious attacking player, who will add flair and creativity in the final third. Ellie is a more of an athletic and astute central defender, who’s ball manipulation and composure enables her to be the first line of attack.”
Portsmouth will play their first pre-season friendly away at Maidstone United on Sunday 15 July 15 (12pm kick-off), while Baffins Milton FC will host their fixtures in 2018/19.
