Oxford University won the annual Women’s Varsity Match, defeating Cambridge University 3-0 at Oxford City FC.

The home side were ahead within the opening ten minutes, as Cadie Higginson turned in a cross from Erin Robinson.

Cambridge responded well but saw a would-be equaliser chalked off for offside, before Grace Molloy hit the bar for Oxford.

Alessandra David doubled the lead when going round goalkeeper Jen Atherton and beating two defenders to finish coolly.
