Oxford United Women Capture Cardiff’s Hillman

Oxford United have completed the signing of Cardiff City LFC defender Ellis Hillman.

The U’s say they had tracked the 24 year old wide player – who was ever-present for the Welsh side last season – since the start of the year.

Hillman told oxfordunitedwfc.co.uk: “I had always been impressed with the professionalism of the Oxford set up having previously trained with the team at the beginning of the year. The club has huge potential and equally large aspirations, I couldn’t turn down an opportunity to play a part in that.”

“People are going to see a very different Oxford team this year, with the combination of existing and new players we have the options to play multiple styles of football. I’m really excited to see what we are capable of and I hope the fans are too.”

Manager Andy Cook said of his latest signing: “She has the right attitude and desire to play at this level and after our first conversation I know I would work well with her. She’s very honest and hard working and will do anything to help the cause. She will provide us with another option from wide areas which we didn’t have in the spring series.”
