Over 3,500 watch Brentford Women make it five straight wins

Brentford were 7-0 winners over Clapton CFC at the G-Tech Community Stadium in the London & South East League Division 1 North.

EASTERN – Six of the best from Royston

Premier – Royston Town’s 3-0 result at Wroxham was their sixth straight win, Luton Town scored all five goals at Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers, Stevenage’s Gemma Croucher got the winner in a 3-2 scoreline at Haringey Borough. Needham Market’s Caitlin Jackson got a couple in the 4-2 win over Watford Ladies Development, Enfield Town beat St Albans City 3-1, Bowers & Pitsea were 2-1 victors over Cambridge City.

1 North – Jaime Curtain contributed a double hat-trick to Harpenden Town’s 15 goals against Kings Lynn Town, AFC Dunstable beat Biggleswade United by a solitary Gemma Whitchurch goal. Thetford Town won 3-0 over Whittlesey Athletic with two for Megan Haynes 2, Histon took the points 3-1 at Stevenage Devs.

1 South – Colney Heath still lead on goal-difference after a 2-1 win against Lawford, Southend United edged a seven-goal thriller at Frontiers but Hertford Town boast the 100% record and beat Stanway Pegasus 4-0. Elsewhereit finished Hutton 2-1 Chelmsford City, Wormley Rovers 3-1 Romford Town Flyers.

EAST MIDLANDS – Basford bounce back from midweek defeat

Premier – Chesterfield Ladies won 3-0 at Basford United in midweek, when Nottingham Trent University got off the mark at Anstey Nomads with an Ainsley Allen goal in a 1-1 draw, before crashing 8-0 at Ilkeston Town on Sunday as Lauren Gill scored three times.  Mansfield Town  drew 0-0 with Chesterfield Ladies, Basford bounced back with a 6-2 success at SJR Worksop, while Stamford defeated Sheffield FC with Laura Dodwell the scorer.

1 Central – Long Eaton United’s 3-1 beating of Brookside Athletic featured a Jayda Jenkins double, Loughborough Foxes Vixens won by the same score against Beaumont Park, Asfordby Amateurs’ Sarah Brown struck twice in a 4-2 victory at River City.

1 North – Gainsborough Trinity’s Katy Thornley netted the only goal in the match with Arnold Eagles, Grimsby Borough substitute Abigail Lewis was sent off as they lost 3-1 to Notts County Devs with Lucy Davey at the double for the visitors. Chesterfield FC overcame Buxton 2-1 despite an early setback, Grimsby Town hit Sherwood for six.

1 South – Thrapston Town’s Emily Slough scored twice in their 3-2 win at Newport Pagnell Town, Leicester City LFC were held 3-3 by Dunton & Broughton United, Cardea’s Georgie Elsom got both their goals in a 2-2 tie with Long Buckby, New Bradwell St Peter sank Bugbrooke St.Michael 7-1.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Seven-goal Brentford watched by 3,585

Premier – Saltdean United made it four wins from four with a 5-2 beating of Barking, Newhaven sub Danielle Parfitt scored in a 1-1 draw with Dorking Wanderers. Ebbsfleet United’s Lydia Wills scored twice and Millwall Lionesses sub Clementine Young once in a 3-3 tie. Dartford defeated Ashford United 4-0 and it was goalless between Sutton United and Sport London E Benfica. Thursday sees Dorking host Haywards Heath Town at Meadowbank.

1 North – Brentford put seven past Clapton CFC aided by an Ashley Cheatley treble for a fifth win in a row. Leatherhead’s Sophia Richardson-Hughes got the one goal at Actonians Res, Dulwich Hamlet Res defeated Bromley 2-1. Richmond & Kew sub Chanel Morris got two in a 5-3 win over AFC Whyteleafe, Denham United’s Jenny Nagle twice netted in a 3-1 win at Richmond Park. Wednesday brings Leatherhead v Ashmount Leigh at Fetcham Grove.

1 South – Saltdean United Devs extended their winning start to six games, 3-2 against Montpelier Villa on Thursday followed up by a 3-0 result at Three Bridges. Steyning Town won 2-0 against Welling United as Amber Hazlewood got both, Bognor Regis Town beat Herne Bay 3-0, Soccer Elite Academy’s Daisy Regnier found the net twice in their 3-0 victory away to Bexhill United.

NORTH EAST – South Shields’ Gatens gets stoppage-time decider

Premier – South Shields’ Eve Gatens scored in added time to beat Wallsend BC 2-1, Spennymoor Town’s Jessica Dawson struck late in each half for a 4-2 win over York Railway Institute. Hull United’s Lois Damms levelled in a 1-1 draw with Harrogate Town for whom Tallulah Freeman netted, Chester le Street Town beat Bradford City 6-0 but it ended 0-0 between Alnwick Town and Ponteland United

1 North – Norton & Stockton Ancients Res netted nine against Gateshead, as sub Anna Mawston grabbed three goals for a fourth win on the trot. Thornaby hit a dozen against Hartlepool United, four for Daisy Swash, trebles by Robyn Foster and sub Sophie Curle. Wallsend BC Res twice came from behind in a 2-2 tie with Redcar Town, Washington were 4-1 winners over Bishop Auckland. i2i International Soccer Academy won 4-1 at Chester le Street Amazons, Consett came out on top 3-1 at Chester le Street United.

1 South – Ossett United made it four wins from as many games with five goals against Sheffield United Foundation, Lower Hopton’s Mia Moorhouse got a crucial third for a 3-2 win at Altofts. Brunsmeer Athletic’s Natalie Shaw scored five of their seven at Kiveton Park, York City Devs’ Chloe Bethell got two as they won 4-2 at Oughtibridge WM, Leeds Modernians won 2-1 at Handsworth.

NORTH WEST – Poulton make it a magnificient seven

Premier – Darwen won 4-0 at Crewe Alexandra to go second with five wins in a row. West Didsbury & Chorlton won 1-0 at FC United of Manchester with Sophie Bracegirdle the scorer, Mancunian Unity and Tranmere Rovers drew one each.

1 North – Penrith went top on goal difference, aided by Abbie Forster’s hat-trick in a 5-3 win at Haslingden. Blackpool went down 3-1 at home to Atherton Laburnum Rovers, Fleetwood Town Wrens Res were 5-2 winners over Radcliffe and Preston North End returned from Hindley with a 7-1 win.

1 South – Poulton Vics’ 5-1 result at Wirral Phoenix took their perfect record to a seventh match, FC St. Helens won 1-0 at Runcorn Linnets, Chester taking the points 5-1 at Litherland REMYCA.

SOUTHERN – Ten-player Woodley defeat Reading at the death

Premier – Woodley United won 3-2 at Reading even though they had Katie Hudson sent off, as Chloe Melton won it in added time.  Winchester City Flyers Annie Northwood’s second goal of the match on 90 minutes forced a 2-2 draw at AFC Portchester, Ascot United edged Badshot Lea with Claire Couzens coming off the bench to score. Oxford City sent Selsey home beaten 5-1, no goals between Sholing and Wycombe Wanderers.

1 North – Penn & Tylers Green won 1-0 at Abingdon United Devs, Tilehurst Panthers’ Georgia Hayes scored twice in a seven-minute spell for a 2-1 result at Wycombe Wanderers U-23s. Kidlington beat Slough Town 5-2, Beaconsfield Town ran out 9-2 winners at Milton United.

1 South – AFC Stoneham have three wins from three after getting the only goal at Bursledon, Wimborne Town won 2-1 over Havant & Waterlooville as Sheree Bell-Jack got both their goals. AFC Varsity’s Kayleigh Rogers swiftly levelled for a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth Sports Res who had led through sub Abi Lander, Abbey Rangers beat QK Southampton 4-0, Fleet Town went one better against Woking.

SOUTH WEST – Forest Green force fourth straight win

Premier – Forest Green Rovers’ fourth win in four games came over Marine Academy Plymouth, with Irene Aguado getting the goal. Frampton Rangers beat AEK Boco 3-1 helped by a Shannon Francis brace, Ilminster Town sent AFC St Austell to a 7-2 loss, Torquay United were 4-2 victors against Poole Town.

1 North – Cirencester Town and Bath City shared ten goals, Corsham Town defeated Downend Flyers 4-2 as sub Chantalle Church struck a late double, St Vallier were 2-1 winners at Paulton Rovers.

1 South – Saltash United beat Weymouth 3-1 as Lucy Jones contributed two goals to their third win on the spin, Weston super Mare put seven past Feniton, while Yeovil Town’s Niamh Nicholls netted three of their nine at Bideford.

WEST MIDLANDS – Rugby Town win League Cup tie on penalties

Premier – Coundon Court stormed to top of the table with an 11-0 victory at Solihull Sporting, where Jessica Lundie scored four and Sophie Shale three.

1 North – Walsall Wood went three points clear in pole position with a 1-0 win at Eccleshall.

1 South – Redditch United won 3-0 at Worcester City Res to take the leadership from Redditch Borough.

Premier Cup 1st Rd – Shrewsbury Town’s Kimberley Bebbington got two goals as they progressed 3-1 at Kidderminster Harriers, Leek Town went through 3-2 at Alvechurch.

Division 1 Cup 1st Rd – Rugby Town pipped Hereford Pegasus 4-3 on penalties following a 3-3 draw, Redditch Borough’s Esther Lau-Mackaay scored twice in a 3-1 result at Newcastle Town, Droitwich Spa defeated hosts Solihull Moors Foundation Reserves 1-0 and there was a walkover for Walsall FC against Coventry City.
