Killen Rangers are into the quarter finals of the NI Women’s FA Cup following a fine 5-1 victory over the Ballymena All Stars.

Rangers had roared into a two-goal lead in the opening quarter of an hour thanks to goals from Wendy Forbes and Emma Kee, only for Kara McCartney to reduce the deficit. Undeterred, Rangers themselves then hit back with goals from Naomi Martin, Amy McFarland and Chelsea Scott securing the win.

Lisburn Rangers also made it into the last eight disposing of an injury-ridden Larne 6-0 at Stanley Park,

Two first half goals from Eve Reilly and one from Sophie O’Rawe had given Lisburn a comfortable half-time advantage and they pressed home that control in the second half thanks to a Sophie Megaw effort, an own goal and a Caoimhe Mulholland penalty.

Rangers opponents in the quarter finals will be their local rivals Lisburn Ladies who defeated East Belfast 4-2.

Morgan Shannon had given the Lisburn side an early lead after only 2 minutes but East then drew level through a well taken effort from Ali Lowey, only for the visitors to regain the lead through Stacey Murdough and top scorer Sara Stevenson. Substitute Trish Neill pulled the deficit back to a single goal right on half time but a further effort from Stevenson ensured victory for Lisburn.
