The Electric Ireland Schools’ Cup competitions are underway at St. Louise’s College, Belfast, with an appearance from NI women’s team captain Marissa Callaghan.

Fifty schools from across Northern Ireland, including St. Louise’s, will compete for silverware in this season’s Electric Ireland cup competitions across Year 8 (U12), junior (U14) and senior levels (U18).

Anne Smyth, Sponsorship Specialist at Electric Ireland: “Every year we are thrilled to see more and more schools getting involved in the Electric Ireland Schools’ Cups. These competitions are an exciting showcase of grassroots women’s football. Thank you also to Marissa who continues to be an outstanding role model for the younger generation eager to make their mark on the pitch.

“Through the Electric Ireland Game Changers campaign, we are committed to supporting girls’ and women’s football and creating pathways for the next generation of female talent across Northern Ireland. Good luck to all the school teams in action this season!”
