The Royal Navy ran out 7-3 winners over Kent FA in the Southern Counties Cup tie at Chatham Town FC on Wednesday 23rd January.

The Royal Navy took command of the game in the first quarter of the match, scoring three times by the 23rd minute through Anthea Kaptein, Rosie McDonnell and Ciara Boylan.

A rush of goals then saw Rachel Stevens reply on 28 minutes and the Navy net their fourth moments later through Kaptein, with Rebecca Wyatt then on target for Kent just after the half hour.

Six minutes after the restart it was 5-2 with another for Boylan but Kent pulled another goal back with 20 minutes left through Megan Burrows.

But it was 6-3 shortly after as Boylan completed her hat-trick and the Navy completed the scoring right at the death through Natalie Bovister.
