Mulbarton Wanderers Belles and Shanklin have been celebrating becoming champions of the Norfolk and Hampshire Women’s Leagues respectively.

Mulbarton Belles won the Norfolk League Division 1 title following Sunday’s 4-0 result away to Thetford Town.

Alanta Griffith, Laura Hedtke, Sophie Jermy and Rebekah Lake were all on target, as the Belles moved out of range of Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers.

They further celebrated with an 8-1 midweek win over Bungay Town, their nineteenth straight victory taking their goal tally up to 100.

Mulbarton can complete a perfect season when they visit North Walsham Town on Sunday 24 April.

Shanklin clinched the Hampshire League Division 1 championship, winning 2-1 away to their last challengers for the top spot, Bournemouth Sports Reserves.
