Buchan struck a dozen times against Raith Rovers to go third, there were also big wins for East Fife and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, while Kelty Hearts are up to eight after a 4-3 win at Montrose.
Division 1 South champions elect Glasgow City Development reached 100 goals with a 6-1 win at Ayr United, Celtic Academy maintained their slim title hopes by hitting Rangers Development for six.
Hibernian U-23s were 4-1 winners at Kilmarnock U-23s but top spot is now beyond their reach.
Queens Park netted a dozen at Hamilton Academical U-23s, Boroughmuir Thistle narrowly beat Blackburn United to go sixth ahead of Renfrew, who lost a goal-fest at Spartans Development.
SWFL 2 – Magnificent Morton
Morton completed a double-winning campaign by beating Clark Drive 6-0 to take maximum points in Division 2 West/South West. Their 14 league games yielded 105 goals with just four conceded.
Stirling University Development sealed second spot in Division 2 South/East Central with a 4-0 win at Stenhousemuir.
Dundee City remain just goal-difference short of Division 2 North/East leaders Dryburgh Athletic but play their game in hand away to East Fife Development at Bayview Park, 8pm kick off.
