Former Northern Ireland international Jess Foy has sung the praises of her club teammate and newest international call-up Mia Moore.
Foy is club captain of Glentoran where Moore came through the youth system and still plays.
Who is Mia Moore?
Mia Moore is one of the most exciting talents to come out of Northern Ireland in the past ten years.
The 18-year-old has broken through the ranks for Glentoran and has been rewarded with her first international call-up.

Glentoran captain, Jess Foy, has been singing the praises of her teammate ahead of what she hopes will be her first cap for Northern Ireland.
“Mia is probably the hardest worker in training, and that shows on the pitch.” Foy said. “She is always wanting to get better and improve and is always asking for extra sessions.
“She scores goals and gets on the end of things and creates things, but she is also doing all the hard and dirty work for us as well.”
Moore netted 12 goals in 27 appearances last season and her breakthrough campaign earned her a spot in Tanya Oxtley’s squad.
‘Infectious’ Mia Moore
Foy herself has also featured for Northern Ireland on the international stage, playing for the team during 2019 women’s World Cup qualifiers.
“I really hope she gets some minutes.” Foy continued. “We know the quality that she has and I really hope she gets to show it on the international stage.

“Mia is really talented and she’s really good on the ball. She is a really exciting going forward and she is aggressive off the ball too… She always has a smile on her face and she’s great to be around. It’s quite infectious and she’s always up for a laugh.”
Moore’s breakthrough into the international team is even more impressive considering she missed the entire 2023/24 season with an ACL injury.
The exciting teenager is expected to make her debut for Northern Ireland in one of their two Nations League qualifiers this month.
