Tottenham manager Martin Ho reached an important milestone with his club over the weekend but the achievement was overshadowed by his team’s collapse.
Spurs were 3-0 up against Manchester United but only left with a point after late drama.
Martin Ho reaches Tottenham milestone
Tottenham were in a bleak spot when Martin Ho joined the club in summer this year.
The North-London club managed just 20 points in the WSL last year as they finished just 10 points off relegation – their worst-ever record in the top flight.
Ho has completely changed the team since his arrival and things are looking up for Spurs these days.
With a point at the weekend, Tottenham reached the 20 points they achieved last season in exactly half the time it took them under Robert Vilahamn.
Spurs weren’t able to celebrate the achievement though as the draw felt much more like a loss.
With a 3-0 lead as the game crossed the hour mark, Tottenham looked out of reach for United.
However the Red Devils showed their tenacity at home and three late goals secured them a point against a tired looking Spurs side.

Tottenham can take positives from United draw
Despite dropping points to United in dramatic fashion, Martin Ho still found positives in the performance.
“You never want to concede three goals – the players don’t and I don’t either, but when you’re playing against the top teams, they push you right to the end. We’ve had injuries, but that’s not an excuse. We have a good enough squad and the players have given me everything. I’m gutted we couldn’t get it over the line.

There was just 16 minutes between United’s three goals which all came at the end of a game that Spurs dominated.
“We can take a lot of pride from this and we’ve taken big steps. We’ve grown as a team and come here to push Manchester United on their own patch, especially after going 3–0 up.”
Ho’s team will be hoping to get revenge almost immediately, as they face United again on Sunday in the semi-final of the League Cup.
