Jess Park due for medical at Manchester United with Man City pushing to sign Red Devils star Grace Clinton

Grace Clinton Manchester United

Manchester United and Manchester City are set for a remarkable swap involving England internationals Grace Clinton and Jess Park in separate deals.

Both Clinton and Park were part of the England squad that triumphed at Euro 2025.

United star Clinton has been the subject of transfer talk all summer, with just one year left on her contract.

Clinton has been linked with rival clubs including Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Meanwhile, it recently emerged that Park has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

The BBC have now reported that Park is closing in on a move to the Red Devils, while a move for Clinton to Manchester City looks ‘more likely’ ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.

Jess Park set for medical at Manchester United

Jess Park is reportedly due for her medical today, as she closes in on a move to Manchester United.

Should the 23-year-old midfielder complete the move, she would become United’s third signing of the summer.

United previously signed former Barcelona star Fridolina Rolfo and Julia Zigiotti Olme from Bayern Munich.

Park made her senior debut for City as a 16-year-old in 2017, and made her 100th appearance for the club last season.

After signing a contract extension in June 2022 to keep her at the club until 2026, she said: “It’s such a great Club (with) the facilities, the coaching staff, the players, the environment. It’s where I want to be and it’s the club I’ve always supported.”

However, despite supporting City, it appears as though she is set for a move to rivals Manchester United.

United will play Champions League football this season, something which is not on offer at City, after the Red Devils just finished ahead of their rivals last season.

Grace Clinton move to Manchester City looks ‘more likely’

While Jess Park looks set for a move to Manchester United, current Red Devils star Grace Clinton could be heading in the opposite direction to Manchester City.

Clinton was linked with Manchester City last month, though manager Marc Skinner said that Clinton was ‘not leaving’

Despite that, she missed their recent Champions League qualifiers against PSV and Hammarby.

The BBC have reported that a move for Clinton looks ‘more likely’ given Park is set to head in the opposite direction.

Clinton, like Park, is out of contract next summer, and United are keen to avoid losing her on a free transfer.

When is the deadline for Park and Clinton to switch clubs?

Both clubs have until 11pm on Thursday, September 4th, to complete the deals for Grace Clinton and Jess Park.

The Women’s Super League season then gets underway one day later when Chelsea host Manchester City.
