England twice levelled against Norway in the La Manga U-23 Tournament but lost to a late goal having been reduced to ten players for the last 15 minutes.

Ella Toone soon replied to Vilde Hasund’s early goal but Meryll Abrahamsen had Norway 2-1 up with only 13 minutes played.

Maz Pachecho then got the second equaliser for Mo Marley’s side just after the half hour mark.

However, England lost substitute Jess Carter to two yellow cards in a five-minute spell and Hasund’s second goal on 85 minutes was the winner.

Meanwhile, Sweden – England’s opponents this Tuesday lunchtime – went down 4-1 to Italy. Emma Westin scored in-between a Gloria Marinelli brace, with Martina Piemonte and Benedetta Glionna adding one apiece.
