Chelsea defender Hannah Blundell has been added to the England squad ahead of their World Cup qualifying double-header against Wales and Kazakhstan, reports TheFA.com.

The right-back, who made her senior team debut against USA in March, joined up with the Lionesses at St. George’s Park and trained on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile Fara Williams has been forced to withdraw from the squad through injury.

Phil Neville’s side must avoid defeat at Group 1 leaders Wales on Friday 31 August to keep their hopes of automatic qualification alive.

A victory for either side at a sold-out Newport County would take the winners through to the finals while a draw would mean England, a point behind Wales but with a game in hand, could still top the group with a victory in Kazakhstan on Tuesday 4 September.
