Manchester United forward Alessia Russo has withdrawn from the England Women’s squad with a thigh injury ahead of the team’s meeting with Germany.
Alessia Russo’s teammate, midfielder Katie Zelem has been called up to Phil Neville’s squad for her second senior camp and will train with the team at England’s St. Georges’s Park base.
The team travel to Wiesbaden, Germany next week ahead of their international against the two-time World Cup winners on Tuesday 27 October, which will be broadcast live on BBC TWO (kick-off 3:00pm GMT).
