England Women’s international against Sweden on Sunday 11 November has sold out, reports thefa.com.

The match at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium, which kicks off at 1.30pm, is the final England fixture of the year, bringing an end to a memorable 2018 for Phil Neville’s side.

It began with a best-ever showing at the SheBelieves Cup in the United States back in March and saw qualification for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup secured in August.

Disappointed supporters who have missed out on tickets should note both the Sweden match and this Thursday’s match in Austria will be broadcast live via the Lionesses’ Twitter account.

Neville said: “This is great news. Playing in full stadiums can only help the team and it will be great for us to say ‘thank you’ to the fans for the terrific support we have had this past year.

“We have begun our preparations for the World Cup and I am sure Sweden will also be looking forward to the occasion.”

The draw for the World Cup finals will take place in Paris on Saturday 8 December.
