Bristol City Women have signed midfielder Libby Bance on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion for whom she has played 30 times.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Rangers, making 15 appearances and scoring four goals for the Scottish Women’s Premier League runners-up.

Interim Head Coach Loren Dykes told bcfc.co.uk: “Libby is still a young player but already has really good experience which will help us this season. This adds strength in depth to our midfield and we cannot wait to have her join us.”

Bance said: “I am excited to be here and develop as a player and a person and can’t wait to get started. I am looking to push on, build up minutes and be part of a good team environment.

“I am slightly more defensive minded, but I like the freedom to go forward and if there is a choice to shoot on the edge of the box, I might want to have a go!”
