Lewes Women have signed 24-year-old Australian midfielder Libby Copus-Brown, recently of Newcastle Olympic.

Previously she was with two A-League teams; Newcastle Jets and then Western Sydney Wanderers, making a total of over 60 top-flight appearances.

Copus-Brown explained her move lewesfc.com: “Funnily enough, I knew of Isobel Dalton through playing in Australia and she knew I was coming over in search of a club. I know my agent was already in contact but Izzy mentioned my name as well.”

Copus-Brown, who has been with the Rooks squad for some weeks, added: “I’m a typical midfielder. I work hard, love setting up goals and love being part of a dedicated team.”
