FA Women’s National League midweek action included Leeds United’s Yorkshire derby victory and Cardiff City LFC continuing their title bid.

Long Eaton United 0-13 Sporting Khalsa

Sporting Khalsa put 13 goals past Long Eaton United, Rebecca Hall and Skye Owen netted four each to help send them second, ahead of Doncaster Rovers Belles on goal-difference.

Division One North

Hull City 3-5 Leeds United

Leeds United leapfrogged Hull City into fifth place, after overcoming despite a late fightback. Abbie Brown put Leeds ahead via the post, Cath Hamill headed home from Olivia Smart’s corner, Brown buried Jess Rousseau’s cross before the latter made it 4-0 by half-time. Sarah Danby hit a free-kick into the top corner, after which the hosts rallied with a Laura Bartup double featuring a set-piece, plus one from Hope Knight.

Portishead Town 0-3 Cardiff City LFC

Cardiff City Ladies cut Exeter City’s lead at the top to six points with two games still in hand, thanks to a goal from TJ Gauvain and a brace by Ellie Sargent.
