FAWNL Southern Premier Division side Plymouth Argyle have signed versatile utility player Leah Burridge from Yeovil Town.

Burridge is from mid-Devon and came through the Somerset FA system before spending three years at Yeovil, helping them in their promotion to WSL 1.

Argyle say that this season Burridge has found it difficult to hold down a first team slot and so decided to move to find a new challenge.

Burridge will be re-united with some former Yeovil team mates in Natasha Knapman, Helen Bleazard, Jessie Jones and Lindsay Rogers.

Joint manager Trevor Rodd told the club’s website: ‘Leah contacted us a few of weeks ago, she came down so that we could have a look and we were very impressed. She will be a great asset to the club as she is such a versatile player.’

On her move Burridge said: ‘I am very excited to be starting a new challenge at Plymouth Argyle Ladies. The standard that Plymouth play at motivates me and I am looking forward to helping the club progress. I am also excited to work alongside Dave Leonard, Trevor Rodd and a team of experienced hard-working players.’
