A knee injury has forced Fran Kirby to withdraw from the England Women’s squad that will take on France.
Kirby has not travelled with the team to Valenciennes where the Lionesses face Les Bleues at Stade du Hainaut on Friday 20 October (8pm BST KO).
England last faced France in the quarter finals of this summer’s UEFA Women’s Euros. The Lionesses won 1-0, their first victory over France in 43 years, with Jodie Taylor getting the winner. So this will be a ‘fun’ encounter!
