Juventus have reportedly expressed interest in signing Brighton star Fran Kirby.
The former England international joined the Seagulls from Chelsea in the summer of 2024.
Kirby has scored 11 goals in 30 appearances for a Brighton side who are currently eighth in the Women’s Super League table.
However, her future is now the subject of speculation after reports in Italy.
Juventus make “significant” attempt to sign Fran Kirby
Italian reporter Mauro Munno has claimed that Juventus have made a “significant under-the-radar” attempt to sign Fran Kirby.
However, Juventus face a fight on their hands with Brighton keen to keep the 32-year-old.
Negotiations are reportedly currently at a standstill, but Juventus remains keen to sign Kirby.
Kirby would add to a Juventus attack which is struggling for goals in the Serie A.
Juventus have scored just 10 goals in nine games, fewer than six other teams in Italy’s top league.
The Italian giants sit second in the league, five points behind leaders Roma. This is largely due to having the best defence in the league, conceding just six goals this term.
Juventus this month loaned out Estelle Cascarino to WSL strugglers West Ham. Cascarino was denied her West Ham debut for a bizarre reason, despite Rita Guarino’s intentions to bring her off the bench.

Fran Kirby’s form this season
Kirby has scored two goals and provided one assist for Brighton so far during the 2025-26 season.
Despite a drop-off in terms of goals, Kirby remains one of Brighton’s most consistent performers, and only Kiko Sieke, Rosa Kafaji and Nadine Noordam have contributed to more WSL goals for Brighton this season.
Kirby would be an asset for a Juventus side struggling in front of goal. During her time at Chelsea, Kirby scored 115 goals in 205 appearances.
Brighton’s January transfer window business
Brighton have been relatively quiet during the January transfer window, with just one signing and one departure so far.
The Seagulls have signed midfielder Olaug Tvedten from Norwegian top-flight side Valerenga for an undisclosed fee.
Tvedten signed for Valerenga in 2021, where she won two league titles and three Norwegian Cups, scoring 52 goals across four seasons at the club.
Defender Jorelyn Campbell, meanwhile, has joined NWSL expansion side Boston Legacy.
Brighton are one of three WSL clubs that have been linked with Joy Omewa.
The Nigerian international, who has scored 20 goals in 22 games for Danish side Fortuna Hjorring, has also been linked with Aston Villa and West Ham.
