Seattle Reign FC have loaned Wales midfielder Jess Fishlock to Olympique Lyon until the conclusion of the French club’s UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign.
Fishlock said about the temporary move in a Seattle Reign news release:
“Growing up in Europe it was always a dream to someday play in the Champions League – it is a magical competition.
“When I went on loan to Frankfurt in 2015 I got to enjoy the competition, but I had to return to the NWSL prior to the final.
“I feel very lucky to have the chance to return to the competition with Lyon and to hopefully have the chance to play in the final.”
